Welcome to Idaho!
Its climate is quite diverse due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean. Deep snow covers the major mountain ranges during the winter months, releasing water in late Spring which irrigates more than two million acres of farmland. A substantial portion of the state’s economy is presented by its agriculture which includes over 100,000 jobs while food processing employs over 16,000.
Thousands of miles of rivers and lakes attract tourists for whitewater rafting and world-class fly fishing. National and State parks allow for some of the best outdoor recreation since almost 70% of Idaho is public lands.
Touted as one of the best places to live, Idahoans appreciate their clean air, natural wonders, productive soil and calm weather and beautiful scenery.
Major cities in Idaho include Boise, Nampa, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Meridian, and Twin Falls.
